Use these things yourself. Share them in social media with your listeners or just take them for a test drive.
1. The Cozi Family Organizer. Check it out. This is an app to “keep your family organized.” Free. Do your listeners have busy lives? Yes. Do they want help they think is smart? Yes. This is a shared calendar app that allows entire families to stay connected and organized – everywhere. You only need one account for the entire family.
2. NextDraft.com (there’s an app, too). This is (according to NextDraft), “The day’s most fascinating news.” A good place to surf for interesting content that may allow you to share or generate your own rich content about “fascinating things.”
3. Seth Godin, of course. If you’ve not done a check-in with him recently, it’s still very good. He gives the best advice at times. “Go. Make something happen.” http://www.sethgodin.com/sg/
4. Timr. Hey, it’s not just you. Everyone in radio seems to have less time in 2013! This app allows you to review time. It actually promises to help you track time and reduce its consumption. It contains three different services: a work time, project time, and mileage tracking applications which will save money and time for you and your business. Now, who needs that?
I hope these four “quick stops” help reenergize your day and give you some good ideas of sharing with listeners. Remember: Being helpful to others in social media regularly really makes you more valuable. You can become a known resource for smart, helpful, and rich content in social media. If you do that, you will draw listeners closer to you, they will share your “stuff” with friends, co-workers, and family, and they will think about you in that moment when choosing radio stations (especially in the car and at work). Winner: You.
